Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, is one of the most desirable and attractive destinations in Europe. Located in the heart of the continent, it is easily accessible for residents from various countries. Each year, millions of tourists visit Budapest, drawn by its charm and vibrant offerings. In fact, in 2019, the city welcomed a record 16.9 million international visitors, making it the highest number on record.

Many of these international tourists come from wealthier countries such as the U.S., the U.K., Germany, and China, and they are often in search of short-term rental properties, significantly boosting the demand for rentals. Additionally, Budapest is home to more than 30 universities, attracting a large number of international students seeking accommodation throughout the city, particularly in districts 5, 6, 7, and 8.

Since 2010, the number of international students has grown significantly, complementing the many local students from across Hungary who come to study in Budapest. The high demand for rental properties from these students has been a cornerstone of the city's residential market for many years, and this trend is not expected to change, even in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
